In a fog

I feel like I'm in a fog. My focus is shot. The easiest way to not lay around around in a miserable heap is to check out mentally a little, but it's making it so hard to get anything done that requires serious brain work. I'm getting up in the morning, getting through my day job, fulfilling small responsibilities, paying bills and showering and digging out my car. But accessing my creativity, if you'll pardon the pretension of the term, is really tough. I have things to do this month that require it. Writing my thesis play for school, preparing Break a Leg, editing Mrs. Hawking for the reading. I know myself, I'll make sure the work gets technically done... but I'm not sure it'll end up any good. There's a real danger that the best I'll be able to do is just slap things together because I just don't have the brainpower to do them right. This is supposed to be my thesis semester, I can't just toss off this piece. But my brain feels so shut down, so weak and useless. I don't know what I'm going to do.
