Health and body update

I have been on my current diet for seven weeks now, and my exercise regime for five and a half. With only a handful of derails due to circumstances beyond my control, I've been sticking to it very well, and I am immensely pleased with the results. I have adapted to the diet such that I don't feel hungry all the time anymore, and my body feels strong, healthy, and energized. I am leaner and harder than I've ever been in my life, and I love it. And since the workout regime is a twelve-week plan, I have high hopes for the definition I've always dreamed of.

Week five of the exercise plan is when the intermediate stage begins, and it was a DEFINITE uptick in intensity. I was a bit concerned I wasn't getting enough out of the first weeks of the workout as they weren't really difficult for me, but based on the ones from week five I've done, I don't think that's going to be a problem anymore. It's a bit daunting, but it's actually a good thing, as it will push me closer to my goal of WICKED CUT ROCK-HARD WASHBOARD MONSTER ABS.

I also added in a calcium pill and a joint supplement. My doctor recommended the calcium, as all women under thirty-five should be working to build up their bone density before it starts deteriorating, and I thought the joint pill might be a good idea since I've been running so much. I haven't experienced any knee pain, but I have noticed they've started clicking when I do squats and things that involve deep bends. That's not much, but it makes me nervous, as I know runners often suffer knee problems later in life. So maybe the supplements will help stave things off a little.

My skin's kind of a mess, though. I've been so busy I haven't been as consistent scrubbing my face with my automatic face brush lately, and I've broken out a little. It's funny because they don't recommend using a brush like this every day, but apparently my skin produces SO MUCH YUCK it defies conventional wisdom. Sigh. If I get back in good habits it should probably get better again, but I'm only going to get busier from here, so I'm sorry it takes so much dedication to work.

Sympathies on the clicking. I've long prided myself on avoiding Dancemaster Knee by being careful with my warmups and learning how to land properly in more energetic dances, but I started noticing clicking a couple of years ago. Anecdotally, the Kirkland Signature (Costco) Glucosamine/Condroitin supplements (recommend some years back in Consumer Reports as the most consistent such supplements) seem to help significantly...
